Susan is a seasoned chef, having started her career in the culinary industry in 1998. Her decades of experience have left her well-versed in the nutritional needs of those ranging in age from 5 to 55. Before coming to Bridge House, Susan spent the majority of her career in California as a Central Kitchen Chef/Food Service Supervisor for Garden Grove Unified School District, where she developed the skills and creativity needed to prepare food for a diverse population. She has also performed the duties of an Executive Chef for several well-known amusement parks and restaurants. Susan brings a great deal of knowledge, sensitivity, mentoring, and compassion to the residents she serves at Bridge House. Susan’s care for the residents at Bridge House goes beyond simply serving healthy food, as she also makes sure to stay current research relating to topics such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, diabetes, and dietary deficiencies. Susan has, herself, been in treatment, and realizes how hard it is to work on yourself without proper nutrition.
When not preparing world-class cuisine, Susan spends time with her wife and their four “fur babies." She also enjoys bringing their 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle to classic car shows and riding on the back of their customized “Breast Cancer" Harley Davidson Heritage Classic.

Susan has a strong belief that all should be treated with kindness, dignity, and love. She knows the daily struggles our residents encounter and believes that joy, self-reliance, and health are foundations of healthy new beginnings.
